Tomorrow is the day.
It's the day I've been dreaming of for as long as I can remember. The day that I've been training for...also as long as I can remember. The day where I run farther than ever before and push myself beyond what I'm capable of. Tomorrow I rock the Rock!

Wrong Rock. |
And also wrong. |
The White Rock Marathon!!!!! Yeeehaw! |
My sis-in-law/partner in training hell, Dee, picking up her packet! We're in the FULL Marathon line! |
We met a lot of nice people and skeedattled. Expos are stressful, plus it was raining. |
The swag left a lot to be desired. The only free thing was a stack of post-race pancakes and a box of Clif Bars. |
But the shirt made up for it. Ooooo feels GOOD! |
Of course I know you're curious if my cheering squad accompanied me, and the answer is a resounding YES! These boys are not the greatest travellers, but we all made it in one piece, some of us more sane than others. (Can you see the hysteria in Roger's pleading eyes?)
One last carb-loading meal, a gathering of all my running gear and a quick bit of shut-eye, and it's Marathon Time!!
Um. This is going to sound weird. Were y'all at the expo Saturday around 2? Because I think I recognize your SIL. I saw her, she looks JUST LIKE someone I know (that does not live in this state) and I had to do a double take.
ReplyDeleteEither that or your SIL AND some rando girl at the expo look like the out of state girl!
I think we were there around 3, but it might have been 2ish! How funny if that WAS us! :)
